I’ve always suspected it…actually, I know it! But it’s always nice to get some agreement from the “other” side that Art is important in a person’s life. In this admittedly and oddly romantic (for Business Journal) article called “Encourage Staff to become Artists”, the slant is that even in traditionally non-creative or non-artistic careers such as a stockbroker, a mechanic or even a business guy, art is extremely important. A favorite phrase of mine from the article when referring to having a CEO become an artist is:
“A CEO creates profits, an artist leaves a legacy”
